Connector assemblies should be reviewed as part of the finished product interface rather than as isolated components. Confirm the connector family, position count, contact requirements, cable exit, strain relief, identification, and inspection criteria before production release. Check the available space, mating direction, cable bend, retention method, and assembly sequence. Confirm wire size, insulation, terminal selection, crimp or termination requirements, and any pull-force or continuity checks that apply. Use a controlled drawing revision and record approved changes during prototype review so the quotation, sample, and production records remain aligned.
